Has someone even thought why we need patel anamat? If patels are in majority in just numbers, does it make them any superior than others? Frankly speaking, I'm surprised how many Gujaratis identify themselves by caste rather than being a Gujarati or an Indian?
I don't think Sardar Patel had even liked this. If we continue like this and promote a particular caste then let me tell you India's future is dark as a country. Let me tell when we call start thinking about us as a Hindu then only a nation can progress. Let's call ourselves an India and not patel or Brahmin or bania. The caste system is a shame for hindus and let's make every effort that we don't pass it on to our next generation if we want to see strong nation in 21st century!

I completely agree with your views, and believe that casteism needs to be abolished for India to progress as a 21st century country. Castism is wrong, and even the likes Swami Vivekanand have disagreed with it. I believe to make our country progress in the 21st century, everyone needs to be given equal opportunities, and this concept of your intellect and capabilities being based on your lineage is completely wrong.

DeleteCastism cannot be abolished. It is in our genes. Wht we can do is to respect each and every individual as an independent identity. In a family all members r not of equal caliber but they enjoy equal rights. In society if there r weaker and poor sections they should be fitted by giving equal rights and opportunities. Today's system has reversed the situation. The gap betn stronger and weaker is getting wider. The system itself is has played major role. No political party wants to touch this .
DeleteWell, the problem is no one has the guts to stand up for right thing... It is in our (every Hindu) genes. From centuries and generations, we are suffering due to this as a society. So many invaders came in and were able to successfully subdue us? I ask my question why??? Why we as a society couldn't do much to confront this? The more I think, the more I get disturbed by our inability to confront the issues because we think why should I bother?
DeleteIf you see many God avatars are non Brahmins. The caste system was started in Vedic time just to make it easier for society. That's not something one should boast of because the bottom line is if one is born in higher caste, what's his achievement for that reason? The person is identified what values he brings to the table, not based on which caste he belongs to or who is his father?
If Indian political parties do not have balls to stand up, let's all non patels unite and stand firmly against this... Certainly we cannot let people like Hardik Patel (who in my opinion is intellectually challenged himself) do all these non sense and take administration into a ban?? Casteism has no place in 21st century and let's take vow to abolish it from me!!!
Being born into any community is pure luck! If patels believe they are special because they took birth in that community then it's laughable... If someone believes that the earth is not round then they are free to believe so but that doesn't make it the truth!!!
ReplyDeleteSanatan hindu vichardhara believes in "vasutheiva Kutumbakam" (the whole world is my family), the claim for reservation for a particular caste in 21st century India is pity. If they can threaten others by gatherings and because of mob culture, then I can tell you that there will be a civil war in Gujarat!!!
Let me ask - why other castes should tolerate these nonsense and racist behavior from some illiterate patels? Why others can't get united and give befitting reply to these communal forces? In my opinion, a patel advocating for reservation without thinking what it's impact will be on hindu society as a whole is the same as a communal muslim who doesn't respect other religions!

This is nothing but Political blackmail before local body election. It is surprising that Patidars voted en-mass for Modi, BJP & Anandiben just 15 months back, now have discovered a villain in BJP !!... The way this agitation is going on, gives an impression that Modi & Anandiben are ruling India & Gujarat since independenance ??!!!... They along with BJP are responsible for Reservation system in India since last 68 years !!!...
Everyone is aware that Reservation is just not feasible beyond 49% as per the Supreme court directive. And no Government can cut share of OBC quota, as OBC constitutes largest voter block in India. In fact, I would go on to add that forget any Government, even if God takes re-birth in India, he can not abolish reservation !!!...
It is surprising that only Patidars are a scapegoat for Congress to defeat
BJP. Remember what happened before 2007 election, with Keshubhai behind the door to defeat Modi (All in the name of PATELism). Same Keshubhai came openly in 2012 claiming that Modi is not doing justice with Patels... The game is out in open now but surprisingly Patidars fall prey to this gamesmanship of Congress time and again.
It is such a pathetic state of affairs that almost 40% of job vacancies in Gujarat are occupied by almost 25% of Patidar population and still there is demand and justification for reservation !!!...
My hunch is that prevailing Negative sentiment in job & business market was a catalyst for Congress fueled agitation against reservation. Congress & AAPTards have concluded that Modi & BJP can only be defeated if Hindus are divided...
If this kind of agitation is practiced, promoted & entertained... Imagine a scenario, when almost 20% of India's population, Muslims, take it to the street to demand reservation...
I just hope & Pray that good sense prevails among Patidars and sane voices are heard...
